This was the ideal introduction to the Hammond organ. Before signed a recording contract with Prestige Records, McDuff worked with saxophonist Willis Jackson in the late 1950's. With Prestige he teamed up with he teamed up with tenor saxophonist Jimmy Forrest on the classic studio sets Tough Duff and The Honeydripper. Late in 1961 he joined in recording sessions with Rahsaan Roland Kirk. Between 1962 and 1965, McDuff worked with George Benson. |
