The great Rosie (and friend!) |

This is a MUST for the late great Miss Clooney's fans. It shows Rosie in an easy relaxed mood reminiscing with pianist Marion McPartland who,albeit a trifle baroque at times accompanying her guest, empathises with the mood of the format. The overall effect is that of a cosy chat and some wonderful vocalising in a variety of numbers sung with tremendous feeling and it is plain that Miss Clooney FELT the numbers that she sang and talked about. Pity about the wrong information she imparted regarding Cole Porter's "Don't fence me in" - but even so, that particular rendering was a treasure. Definitely a MUST for all Rosie fans! |
