A single the old-fashioned way… |
Rating: 5.0 |
I have said it before and I find myself saying it again, I don’t normally buy singles but on this occasion I have bought this one. The reason for this change of heart you ask? This is a song that deserves to be heard buy the wider single buying public, not only do you get the opening track “Sunrise” from one of the best albums of the year in my humble opinion so far “Feels like Home” with it’s warm and inviting sound that has a slight folkie feel. You also get on this single an outtake from the recording session “Moon song” is a track that could have been quite easily been on the album, with it’s quite acoustic guitar intro that starts a love song that is both lovely to listen too and also has heartfelt words, as quietly as it began the track finishes with the line “The moon is in your eyes”. Just like singles in the days of 7” vinyl this one has only 2 tracks, just like the song this single harks back to days gone by with it’s old-fashioned presentation of a “A-side” and a “B-side” and a great cover photograph of the featured artist on the front. |
