Bing with a 'stereo' Beat |
Rating: 5.0 |
This 24 bit remastered version of the 1957 album of Bing Crosby with Bob Scobey's Frisco Jazz Band is superb. Both Crosby and the band are on top form on well known standards. The remastering is first class, presenting the release in (restrained) stereo for the first time. This is a must for any jazz / standards collector. Well done to Bluebird for a top quality release. |

One of Bing's Best |
Rating: 5.0 |
This is a fantastic album with Bing accompanied by Bob Scobey's Frisco Jazz Band. Recorded in 1957 Bing sings these eleven songs in a "Jazz Style" reminiscent of his late 1920's recordings. This re-issue on CD has been carefully remastered and the quality of the transfer is excellent. This is a must have album for any serious collector of popular music on CD. |
